Showcasing PARMENIDES Insights Across Europe
As the PARMENIDES project enters its final phase, our partners have been actively sharing knowledge and lessons learned across key European events. Through these contributions, PARMENIDES continues to strengthen its visibility and impact within the energy innovation ecosystem — showcasing real-world applications, interdisciplinary approaches, and technical advancements driving the transition toward grid-friendly energy communities.
Bridging Regulation and Technology – OVE Energietechnik-Tagung 2025
At the OVE Energietechnik-Tagung 2025, Maria Kolenc from Energie Steiermark (ENS) presented insights from the Austrian pilot sites in Heimschuh and Gasen, highlighting how the PARMENIDES project links regulatory frameworks with technical requirements to develop practical solutions for future grid operation. Her contribution emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration in ensuring that innovation aligns with real-world energy system needs — from policy to deployment.

Transferring Knowledge Across Sectors – Sustainable Places 2025
During the Sustainable Places 2025 conference, Lorenz Payonga from KTH Royal Institute of Technology represented PARMENIDES in the clustering workshop “Keep it Cool: Cooling Solutions for Data Centers and Other Industries.” Lorenz introduced the PARMENIDES Flexibility Strategy developed at KTH, focusing on trade-off analysis and management approaches that could be applied beyond the energy community context, for instance, in energy-intensive sectors such as data centers. He also shared updates on the project’s progress, including the PARMENIDES Energy Community Ontology (PECO), EMS4HESS, and advancements in both the Swedish and Austrian pilots.

Fostering Market Integration and Collaboration – Venetian Green Building Cluster 2025
Finally, Tommaso Lenzi from R2M Solution represented PARMENIDES at the Venetian Green Building Cluster 2025 event in Venice, Italy. His talk focused on the project’s hybrid energy storage system innovations and business exploitation strategies, connecting technical excellence with pathways for real-world market adoption. The event brought together over 200 participants, including researchers, industry representatives, and public stakeholders, creating valuable opportunities to discuss sustainable construction, urban regeneration, and resilience in the energy transition.
Driving Collaboration and Knowledge Exchange
Together, these participations reflect the multidisciplinary strength of the PARMENIDES consortium, combining regulatory, technical, and business perspectives to deliver scalable energy community solutions. By engaging in international conferences and clustering events, the project continues to ensure that its findings reach both research and industry audiences, fostering the collaboration needed to advance Europe’s energy transition.
