PARMENIDES’ Joint Cluster Second Webinar

Join Us for a Webinar Implementation of Data space and interoperability for flexibility services using DES. Different perspectives from the InterSTORE-FLEXCHESS-PARMENIDES projects

On November 6th, 2024, the cluster projects FlexCHESS, PARMENIDES, and InterSTORE will come together to host their second cluster webinar, focusing on the critical role of data spaces and interoperability in the energy sector. This online event promises to offer a comprehensive look into how data spaces are transforming energy systems, with a focus on architecture, ecosystem development, and standardization.

The webinar will explore the importance of ontologies and semantic interoperability, two key factors that ensure the smooth integration of systems, especially in smart energy solutions. Attendees will learn about cutting-edge technologies and successful implementations that are paving the way for the future of energy management.

One of the event’s key highlights will be a presentation by Tim Farham from TOSHIBA, who will dive into the FlexCHESS project. His session will cover the Asset Administration Shell (AAS) and Battery passport data models—two vital tools for achieving cross-domain digital twin interoperability.

The PARMENIDES project will be represented by Olivier Genest, CEO of Trialog. Olivier will provide insights into the role of ontologies and semantic interoperability within the project, demonstrating their importance in enabling flexible, efficient energy systems.

Ferdinando Bosco from Engineering Group will present the InterSTORE project, focusing on how the data space approach can significantly enhance the digitalization of energy systems. His talk will emphasize the benefits of data spaces in ensuring more streamlined, interconnected energy solutions.

To wrap up the event, Dr. Mark Stefan, Research Engineer and Thematic Coordinator for Power System Digitalization at AIT, will moderate a panel discussion and deliver the closing remarks. This interactive session will offer attendees the opportunity to engage with industry experts and deepen their understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the field of energy system digitalization.

Whether you’re an industry professional, researcher, or policy maker, this webinar offers valuable insights into the future of interoperability and flexibility services in energy systems.
